Santa Clarita accounting firm Condie & Wood CPAs has changed its name to Condie, Thomas & Harbo CPAs. The change became effective Sept. 1.

The renaming was made to include both Jeffrey L. Thomas, a shareholder of the firm since 2012, and Heather A. Harbo, who became a shareholder Sept. 1.

“This is a confirmation of our position as one of the valley’s leading accounting firms,” said Gary Condie in a statement.

Condie, Thomas & Harbo CPAs provides tax and financial planning, business modeling, transaction analysis and business management services to clients across various industries.

Condie, the founding shareholder of Condie & Wood, has more than 40 years of experience in the public accounting industry. He started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and left to start his own firm, Condie, George & Martin CPAs. Condie also spent time in private industry, both as executive vice president of Aquafine Corp. and president of A.M.E. Label Corp., before forming Condie & Wood CPAs.

Thomas has more than 15 years of experience working in the public accounting arena, offering audit, financial statement compilation, tax preparation and planning and business management consulting services. Thomas is a licensed CPA in the states of California, New York, New Jersey and Utah. Prior to joining Condie & Wood, he was a senior manager with Grant Thornton LLP, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, including two years spent in PwC’s national office.

Harbo joined Condie & Wood immediately upon graduating from the University of California at Los Angeles and has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of income tax preparation and planning, sales and use tax preparation, business property tax preparation and Los Angeles city business tax preparation. In addition to her tax experience, Harbo has in-depth knowledge in general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, management reports and realization analysis.
