Fans of crime fiction looking for a frightfully fun time are invited to the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library’s Second Annual Author Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m., hosted at the Old Town Newhall Library, located at 24500 Main Street.
The “thrilling” catered dinner will feature a panel discussion with five successful “cozy crime” and mystery author panelists led by Diane Vallere, talented author and President of Sisters in Crime, an organization dedicated to supporting female crime writers.
Tickets are $35 or discounted to $25 for current Friends of the Library members and can be purchased at any of the three Santa Clarita Public Library branches.
Sponsored by Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library, author events are part of a series of programs designed to build excitement and interest in books and reading through workshops with published writers. All of the proceeds from the events, fundraising efforts, and programs sponsored by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library go towards providing new Santa Clarita Public Library materials and programming.
