The Master’s University men’s basketball team defeated Humboldt State 83-73 at home on Monday night in a non-conference game that saw four lead changes.
The Mustangs ultimately came out on top, with Delewis Johnson leading the team with a game-high 26 points and three rebounds. Lawrence Russell followed with 14 pounds, nine rebounds and five assists. Three other players had 10 points or more, and as a team, TMU shot 51.9 percent and 35.7 percent from three-point range.
The Lumberjacks (8-7) were led by Calvin Young II’s 17 points and five assists off the bench. Tyras Rattler, Jr. scored 13 points and nabbed six rebounds.
TMU is now 12-3 on the season and returns to Golden State Athletic Conference play Wednesday on the road against San Diego Christian.
