“I am honored to serve as the next Chairman of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and look forward to continuing the momentum that John Musella began this year,” Hooper said in a statement.  “The Chamber represents 1,000 members, which are made up of businesses located in the third largest city in Los Angeles County.”

Troy joined TPC in August 2016, coming from a private club in Orange County. He is a lifelong operations manager in the travel and hospitality industry.

“Troy Hooper has been a tremendous asset to our Board this year and brings an important perspective on member and business services,” Musella, outgoing chairman, said. “Troy has a proven track record of business accomplishments, as we all have witnessed with his success at TPC.  He will be a great Chairman for the Chamber and I’m pleased to turn over the organization to him.”

Hooper takes over as Chairman of the Board on Jan. 1, 2018, but will be ceremonially installed on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at the organization’s annual Awards and Installation Gala being held at the TPC at Valencia, which honors local businesses and business leaders.

Founded in 1923, the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is the leading business advocacy organization in the Santa Clarita Valley, focusing on local, state and national issues that affect the business community.
