Bob Hernandez will give a charcoal/pastel inspirational talk at the Feb. 19, 2018 meeting of the Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA). This event is free, open to the public and meets at 6:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 23630 Valencia Blvd., in Valencia.
Hernandez is the founder of ARTree Community Arts Center, a non-profit children’s arts education organization. The ARTree offers and provides opportunities to nurture and develop artistic potential for children throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Hernandez will address important questions you should ask yourself before you start drawing or painting:
- Why are you drawing and painting today?
- What you are drawing or painting and why?
- How much time do you spend drawing or painting per day
- How long have you been working with one medium?
- Why do you use that medium?
- How much time do you spend on research and planning?
- How do you get inspired?
- Do you work in a confined space?
- Do you have all the materials you need?
