The owners of All Locked Up in Castaic recently announced a new addition for its boat, RV and self-storage facility.

Looking to provide a high-security, safe and clean storage experience free from the threats of the elements or thieves, All Locked Up created a significant expansion.

All Locked Up purchased the 2.5-acre site immediately adjacent to the Castaic McDonald’s about two years ago, and recently completed the permits and procedures necessary to open a state-of-the-art storage facility, said owner Gary Horton.

In addition to the concrete grounds, which make the facility much safer than much of the hillside parking done for most RVs and boats, All Locked Up is conveniently located next to Interstate 5 and near Castaic Lake, Horton said. Indoor “drive-up” storage units are also available, ranging from 5-by-5-foot to 12-by-32-foot spaces, and are open seven days a week. The new facility also includes a dump station for RV holding tanks.

“It’s clean, it’s modern and it’s close and there’s nothing like it in the (Santa Clarita Valley),” Horton said. “Most people have their RV stored all over town.”
There’s also a repair shop for RVs, as well as a truck stop and gas station that accommodates large vehicles all within a couple of blocks of the storage facility.

The facility’s security is managed by an around-the-clock staff and video surveillance, the lot receives weekly maintenance and there’s an 8-foot wall surrounding the facility, Horton said.

In addition, one of the amenities users will really appreciate is the space itself, he said.

There are 106 spaces in total, and the 40- to 45-foot long RV’s can park in spots that are about 13 feet wide, which is much wider than the average width for such vehicles.

Horton said he was looking to create a “VIP experience” for RV and boat owners, because of the convenience for the service, location and facilities.
