Fans of 80s music will delight at the latest show coming to Canyon Santa Clarita

Johnny Ventura takes the stage and sings to massive crowds, his appearance is Spicoli, Sean Penn’s character in the classic 1980s film “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.”

“We played for a year at The Canyon Santa Clarita every Thursday, and now we do weekends here and there,” he said of his ‘80’s tribute band, Fast Times.

Fast Times has four iconic 80’s rock icons, such as Ventura’s Spicoli, Slash of Guns ‘N’ Roses, Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue and Devo, here to show you their takes on “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Living On A Prayer,” “Sweet Child O’Mine,” “Tainted Love,” “I Love Rock & Roll” and more.

On Feb. 22, Santa Clarita residents can also party like a rock star by rocking out with the some of the best music of the 80s. Two tribute bands will open for Fast Times — first is Pick Your Poison, a tribute band to the glam slam band Poison that dominated clubs on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. Back for More, a Ratt tribute band with a name that pays tribute to the band’s eponymous hit song, is up second.

The Ratt tribute begins at 8 p.m., while the Poison tribute begins at 9 p.m. The whole set with Fast Times starts at 10 p.m.

Tickets begin at $19.50 and guests are required to purchase dinner with a minimum of $25. Doors are at 6 p.m.
