A climate-change discussion is set to take place at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center on Sunday.

“Climate change as you know it is not just melting ice caps at the poles. From increased wildfires to the extremes of drought and flooding, it is now affecting all of us,” said the Unitarian Universalist Church of SCV in a news release.

The event, set to commence after the UU service from 10:30-11:30 a.m., is part of the Unitarian Universalist Church of SCV’s Social and Environmental Justice Committee’s 5th Sunday presentation.

Lynne Plambeck, a longtime water board member who serves on the SCV Water Agency board, has prepared a short presentation. A discussion and question-and-answer session is planned to follow.

The SCV Senior Center is located at 22900 Market St. For more information, contact the UU of SCV at 661-254-7866.
