The Santa Clarita Valley Democrats recently hosted a school supply drive to benefit JCI Santa Clarita’s “Pack to School” program, which distributes school supplies to underserved schoolchildren in the SCV.
“As strong advocates for educational equity, with the back-to-school season already upon us, our organization wanted to contribute to the incredible work that JCI Santa Clarita is doing to help our local students,” said Andrew Taban, chair of the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats.
The organization’s volunteers collected donations of backpacks, folders and other school supplies in front of Vincenzo’s Pizza Newhall on Lyons Avenue.
The Santa Clarita Valley Democrats is a Democratic organization chartered with the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
