“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”

— John F. Kennedy

I always encourage our community to get involved, try something new and take advantage of all that our city has to offer. In Santa Clarita, there are so many opportunities to stay active, connect with others and spend meaningful time with your family. That’s why I truly value the Seasons magazine. It brings everything together in one place and makes it easy to see what’s happening across our community.

Seasons is our city’s guide to programs, classes and events offered throughout Santa Clarita. Each issue highlights new opportunities to learn new skills, explore different interests and connect with neighbors in meaningful ways. Inside, you will find information about upcoming city events, as well as a wide range of classes and programs offered at our facilities. There are opportunities for children, teens, adults and seniors, because we believe everyone should have access to programs that support their growth and well-being.

As someone who is deeply committed to supporting our youth, I always encourage families to take advantage of these opportunities. Whether it is helping a child build confidence, discover a new interest or simply have a safe and positive space to grow, these programs play an important role in their development.

You will also find helpful resources such as facility locations, contact information and updates on city initiatives, including our five-year strategic plan.

One program I am especially proud of is “You’ve Got a Friend at City Hall.” This initiative gives residents the opportunity to connect with our city staff and learn more about the work being done to serve our community. It reflects what we stand for as a city. We are accessible, supportive and here for our residents.

We also offer a wide range of programs across our community centers, the Santa Clarita Public Library and The Cube. From aquatics programs and library activities to ice skating classes for all skill levels, there are many ways to stay engaged and active. For those looking to try something new, Seasons features unique classes such as horseback riding, dog obedience and behavior training, fishing and creative experiences like candle making or learning how to use a Cricut. These programs give residents the chance to explore new interests in a welcoming environment.

What makes these programs truly special is the sense of connection they create. They bring people together, strengthen our community and create lasting memories for families.

I invite you to explore the latest issue of Seasons and discover something new for you and your family. Take that first step, try something new and continue to be part of what makes Santa Clarita such a special place to call home. To learn more, visit SantaClarita.gov/Seasons.
