SCV Sports Report: Hart swimming opens strong

Hart High swimming opened up the league season with dominant wins on both the boys and girls sides.

The girls defeated Canyon High 140-30, while the boys earned a 132-37 win against the Cowboys.

College baseball

Simpson 7, TMU 5

Aaron Shackelford had two RBIs and a hit, while Max Maitland had one RBI and four hits in the non-conference game.

The Mustangs, who are 15-16 overall, return to GSAC play on Friday at Arizona Christian.

Boys volleyball

Saugus 3, Chaminade 2

The Cents fought back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Eagles and earn their first win of the season. Game scores were: 20-25, 22-25, 30-28, 25-23 and 15-13.

Saugus is now 1-5 and open Foothill League play at Canyon on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
