Local author and filmmaker Allen Wolf will host a book launch celebration for “The Sound of Violet, 10th Anniversary Edition” on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Locale Studios in Newhall.
The event will feature a reception with refreshments, an author Q&A discussion, and a personalized book signing.
Wolf, a Santa Clarita resident, has reimagined his novel for this anniversary edition, which releases the same day as the event. The book, which was adapted into a motion picture, returns with expanded storytelling and deeper character development, honoring a decade of growth since its original publication, according to a news release from the publisher.
“I’m thrilled to celebrate this milestone with my home community,” Wolf said in the release. “‘The Sound of Violet’ continues to be a story about the belief that every person needs to be seen and cherished. It’s about the courage to look past assumptions, the strength found in vulnerability, and the extraordinary power of love to transform lives.”
The novel will be available at online and brick-and-mortar booksellers.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the Nov. 11 book launch event at Locale Studios, 24359 Main St., Newhall. Tickets ($33.06 including sales tax) are available at TSOV.eventbrite.com. Each ticket includes one hardcover signed copy of “The Sound of Violet, 10th Anniversary Edition,” and general admission to the reception, discussion and signing.
