‘Playwright’s Penance’ set for Oct. 25 at Newhall Family Theatre

Breaking a Leg Theatre Group in collaboration with Raising the Curtain Foundation is scheduled Oct. 25 to present an original play written and directed by Michael Davies, the foundation announced in a news release. 

“The Playwright’s Penance” tells the story of the world’s most famous playwright as he comes face to face with the consequences of his actions taken in life. Through his journey of self-discovery, he must come to terms with his goal of producing the finest theater in London and the effects it had on those around him. 

The cast includes Phil Schwadron, Kamber Moen, Rebecca Coombs, Ryan Shrewsbury and Stephen Whelan. 

Performances are scheduled 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts, 24607 Walnut St., Newhall. Tickets ($7 for students and $15 for adults) are available at raisingthecurtainfoundation.org
