The 2025-26 all-league girls’ soccer selections for the Foothill League have been released, and Saugus senior forward Makea Leonard highlights the list of honorees after earning Player of the Year.

The 2025-26 girls’ soccer season has been a year to remember for Makea Leonard.
Before the year began, Leonard represented the Samoan National Team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in October alongside her sister and teammate Makeli Leonard. And after the World Cup concluded, Makea took the momentum from the competition to the Foothill League season where she finished her senior season, having recorded her career highs.
In 21 matches, Leonard ended the past season with 28 goals, a career high, and contributed 10 assists to her name en route to also helping the Centurions finish the year as Foothill League champions with a 10-1-1 record.
Leonard ends her high school career having scored 65 goals across the four seasons she spent with the Centurions and has committed to continuing her playing career at the University of Oregon.
