Valencia’s Dylan Murphy earns player of the year in volleyball league honors

After leading the Valencia Vikings to a Foothill League championship during the 2026 boys’ volleyball season, senior Dylan Murphy earned the league’s top honor with the player of the year selection.  

Player of the Year: Dylan Murphy, senior, Valencia.  

Murphy, who led the Vikings back to a Foothill League title with a perfect 11-1 record, was honored with this year’s player of the year selection.  

The senior opposite hitter ends the season leading the Vikings to a quarterfinals appearance in the Division 3 playoffs where Palos Verdes defeated Valencia in straight sets.  

Murphy ends his time with Valencia High School with a league title and is committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at North Central College in Illinois.
