SCV Sports Report: Valencia pitcher throws no-no

Valencia High baseball beat Irvine High 11-0 in the Ryan Lemmon Invitational Tournament on Monday. Lukas White threw a no-hitter in the win.

The Vikings move on to the semifinals, where they’ll play Golden Valley, which beat J.W. North of Riverside, on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Valencia is now 11-5 on the year. Golden Valley is 6-7.

West Ranch also advanced to the semifinals of the Ryan Lemmon tourney with a 4-0 win over Canyon of Anaheim. The Wildcats will play Woodbridge of Irvine, which beat Saugus 4-3 on Monday, in the semifinals, Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Pitcher Davis Brown allowed three hits in five innings and Bobby Garcia had the save in the first round of the Ryan Lemmon Invitational Tournament. Austin Scott had two RBIs.

Softball

Hart 14, Woodbridge 2

Hart 11, Silverado 3

For the day, Abby Sweet was 4-for-8 with a home run, six RBIs and five runs scored at the Woodbridge Tournament in Irvine.

Jordyn Gasper was 5-for-8 with three RBIs and four runs scored. Andrea Cespedes was 4-for-7 with six RBIs and two runs scored.
