“But Shiller neglected to say what followed the Roaring ‘20s.”

That would be trade barriers, central planning and massive government spending that turned a cyclical recession and banking panic into a cataclysmic longer term depression.

  • Gil Mertz

Isn’t it the capitalists who create jobs which jump starts our economy which enhances opportunity which offers freedom which improves lives for all Americans?

    The liberal response….RESIST!!!

    • Ron Bischof

Statists across the political spectrum “Resist!” any effort to reduce the role of government and reform of their spendthrift ways.

Watch for the upcoming handwringing column(s) and LTEs about the USA withdrawal from the Paris Climate “Agreement”.

      • Gil Mertz

I can just see Horton and the next Democratic Voices hack furiously typing up next week’s columns right now with smoke pouring from their computers. None of them have ever read the Paris Climate Agreement mind you, but they’re sure Trump has doomed us all. Can’t wait to shred through their predictable hysteria.
