Watch out, John Boston, Gary Horton is gunning for your job as The Signal’s resident humorist. I laugh aloud at John’s Friday columns and Saturday’s Time Ranger series. But I fell out of my chair laughing when I read Gary’s article “Good Night and Good Luck, Again” (Sept. 24). According to Gary, President Donald Trump can out-shape-shift the most detestable villain in any superhero movie. He can morph into Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, no easy feat. Now he is shape shifting into Sen. Joseph McCarthy. What’s next, President Trump as Genghis Khan and his plundering hordes of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents? Will the Trumpinator replace Arnold in the final Terminator movie, “Trumpinator 2028”? Gary, you’re killing me!
Gary, if you’ve ever listened to NPR or PBS news you know they ARE woke propaganda. Why should the American public fund programming that tells only one side of every story? The New York Times and Washington Post can hide behind their Pulitzers, but they shamelessly publish their left-wing propaganda every day.
And as for Jimmy Kimmel: He is a no-talent hack who rose to fame on the coattails of Adam Carolla, a truly funny guy. Kimmel’s late-night show is hemorrhaging money like a teenager with his parent’s credit card. ABC is a business whose job is to make money for its shareholders. His show is losing millions of dollars every year.
Gary asks, “Who will stand up today? Freedom lasts only if we defend it.” I’m sure Tyler Robinson will be the first volunteer for Gary’s Freedom Defense Army.
