The California’s Legislative Analyst’s Office reports that it costs our general fund $10 billion annually to pay nedical costs for the undocumented. Amazingly, that’s almost the amount Gov. Gavin Newsom’s 2026 budget forecasts as an overrun.
A balanced budget becomes clear when these facts are reconciled.
