The following comments were submitted to the Santa Clarita City Council on Nov. 25, regarding Denise Lite’s Nov. 22 commentary in The Signal.
Denise and I have cordially disagreed on many things over the years. A few letters she has written to The Signal have impressed me to the point that, after attending the infamous public hearing over the (proposed eight-story) courthouse and listening to Denise speak, I started to think maybe I am wrong about her not being the right choice for a seat on the City Council. I had fully intended to ask for a meeting with her to get to know her better.
Then, I was reading my Signal on Nov. 22 and opened to the Opinion page. I always save the best for last. I was astonished to see the commentary written by Denise, and overwhelmingly disappointed in her bawling out of the Republican Party everywhere, but specifically in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The one and only point I agreed with her on was there is no excuse to not vote. No matter how corrupt the system is, not voting is what the George Soros group wants, aka communism. My agreement with her stopped there.
She may or may not realize that she is advising completely against what President Donald Trump has come out so strongly against. However, I consider her very intelligent so that is not a point in her favor.
Trump is also speaking as to ridding elections of all machines, going back to no mail-in ballots, except absentee with proof of need, in person, one day, paper ballots, two forms of identification, legal citizens only, hand counting, same-day results, small precincts.
Sounds a lot like New California State’s voting procedure. If there was a precinct for every 1,200 to 1,500 voters, the hand counting would go smoothly. Everything would cost a mere fraction of the cost in “selections” we have now. Oh, and Election Day would be a federal holiday. In New California, a state holiday.
The majority of other countries have figured it out, with Dominion’s Canadian offices being next to the Soros-related Tides Foundation. The Philippines gets it. We have to fix the system. Not recognizing this is extremely naïve. Don’t be fooled by the machine company’s “name” or “renaming” or selling of Dominion to a “patriot.” They ALL lead back to Soros.
