I was happy to read in The Signal that Old West Chapter, Order of DeMolay visited the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry on March 4 to deliver over $140 in donations. For those who are not familiar with the Order of DeMolay, it is a Masonic Youth Organization for teenage boys who are approaching manhood. I was a member of Hollywood Chapter well over 50 years ago and those experiences certainly enhanced my life in later years. Several decades later, many of my DeMolay friends are still close friends. It is reassuring to see that local teenagers are still able to benefit from a wonderful organization that has given me so much.
