In Jonathan Kraut’s 175th diatribe against President Donald Trump (April 21), he says, at the very end of his article, that the president’s proposed deal to conclude the Iran war is “just meandering words.” That is rich coming from someone who uses 22 meandering paragraphs to conclude the same thing all 174 of his previous articles have concluded … Trump bad. Just say it once, Jonathan. As a Democratic Party activist, you will criticize the president, no matter how many positive accomplishments he oversees, until he leaves office. And you probably won’t stop then.
President Trump has stated clearly from the beginning of Operation Epic Fury that its main objectives are: 1. Prevent Iran from EVER having a nuclear weapon. 2. Prevent Iran from arming and supporting its proxies to cause chaos in the Middle East and the world. 3.Allow the free flow of shipping through Middle Eastern waterways. 4. Prevent Iran from using missiles and drones to attack its Middle Eastern neighbors, plus the U.S. and its allies.
Other presidents in the past 47 years have espoused the exact same operation. Not one of them had the fortitude or foresight of President Trump. When the war is over and all of Operation Epic Fury’s objectives have been accomplished, Jonathan, I expect you and your Democrat buddies to issue an apology to President Trump. I won’t be holding my breath.
In paragraph 15 of your meandering article, you quote CNN, as if it is a source of unbiased information. That would be the same as a reporter asking the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps how many protesters they murdered in street protests. Their answer would be, “We don’t kill our own people.” Would you quote that as a source, Jonathan?
In paragraph 22 you say that contrary to the Abraham Accords, “Israel invaded Gaza and Lebanon.” Invasion is a proactive term. It is what Russia did to Ukraine. Israeli incursions into Gaza and Lebanon are reactive operations. For decades Israel has been under constant attack from Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel doesn’t take unprovoked attacks lying down. They have conducted and continue to conduct defensive operations so their small country can live in peace without the constant threat of attack.
Jonathan, for the sake of The Signal’s readers, please make your next meandering article about something other than “Trump bad.”
