The opening sentence by Jonathan Kraut in The Signal on April 21 (commentary) confirms he definitely suffers an acute stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
In my opinion, it is an undisputed fact that the world did not react for decades upon decades to ensure stable energy supplies. In California, we’ve shut down, refinery after refinery and taxed gasoline at the highest rate in the nation.
Maybe it is time to damage Iran , the world‘s biggest sponsor of terrorism and an arch enemy of the United States of America for almost 50 years.
Why many presidents before us did not take any action is beyond me. Probably because we have Democratic politicians going overseas to criticize the policies of our president and the troops that enforce the orders.
I’ve never witnessed more un-American politicians in my lifetime.
An analogy can be made that we have a festering wound and we just keep putting Band-Aids on it without fixing the core problem. If you just keep treating the symptoms, the wound never heals.
President Donald Trump, love him or hate him, made a decision, clearly communicated it prior to the election and also implemented it in his first term: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Their purpose and goal in life is to nuke America. Think about it. What would the Jonathan Krauts and the liberal media of the world be saying if Trump did nothing and they developed a nuclear weapon and bombed an American city?
They would all be clutching their pearls and saying, “Why didn’t he do something? Why didn’t he act sooner?”
The fact that he’s acting when many presidents before him didn’t is shocking to their ability to comprehend.
I, and Jonathan Kraut, do not know how this is going to work out. At the end of the day, as the cliché goes, the results will determine if the decisions were right.
I would question my friends in the media who are asleep at the wheel and those on the left (who) defend the status quo. For example, should we have just done nothing and let other people try to destroy the world, hijack energy and risk the lives of potentially millions of Americans?
Doing nothing is not an option. It does seem that those on the left prefer and support a regime that kills tens of thousands of its own citizens.
Oh, we are free to have “no kings” protests and marches about everything and that is an American right. But where is the protest and the outrage when other countries murder their own citizens? Where is the protest against regimes like Iran? No, the media is so full of TDS and hatred of Trump that they cannot see the trees because apparently the forest gets in the way of their view
Again, I don’t know how this is all going to work out, but I’d rather be on the offense than the defense and I wish those on the left in the media could at least try to support America
