It’s quite ironic for socialists to decry slavery, since socialism — like slavery — is just a means to own others’ lives.
Socialism is most dangerous in a democracy, but in a constitutional republic, it’s powerless. And that, in a nutshell, is why Republicans vote Republican, and why socialists (and slaveowners) vote Democrat.
