To Steve LePore (Letters, July 24), perhaps the great and wealthy Christian churches of America could instead spend from their monetary abundance to hire immigration attorneys to get these fear-stricken fugitives properly documented. Law-abiding citizens have very little if anything to fear from the law. Once that’s done, my advice to the “formerly” fearfully homebound would be this: “Go now, and sin no more.” — John 8:11.

Good intentions aren’t good enough. Don’t “nurse” the illness. “Cure” it.
