Why would the Russians pay the Taliban to kill U.S. or other allied forces when the Taliban will gleefully kill any “foreign invader” for free? Remember when the Taliban gleefully killed Russians in the 1980s with U.S.-provided armament? And then provided sanctuary for Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda training camp?
